Halloween At The Lair

Moon Couch Shelf 2

Jeremy: Earlier this week I did a post on my personal IG all about us moving into our new apartment (Granted, new as in we moved here last May), but, in addition to that, Sara and I also wanted to do something a little more personal on the blog here and give you a look into the work in progress interior of our lair. While helped out a ton by our recent trip to Michael's and Spirit Halloween, where we MIGHT have go a little over board (no regrets), much of what you see has been acquired over the past two years in small doses. Our main goal from the start has always been to try and create a space that wasn't overly cluttered, yet still feel like the space was being utilized. And, while we are spooky all year round, we tend to pull out the more cheesy decorations between September-November.

For anyone who is interested in seeing more of our progress as time goes on, let us know! We're always looking to rearrange and add new things where time and the funds allow. And you know we're going to be right there for those after Halloween sales.

Sara: When I went to take out the box of Halloween decorations back in August (no shame), I was actually disappointed because there wasn't much to put up-only because as Jeremy mentioned, we keep a lot of spooky stuff out year-round. We have a classic-vintage theme going for the most part, which makes sense as our apartment building was built in the 1960's and very much looks it. We do have a small porch area that we will put jack-o-lanterns out on later in October, and perhaps something else more ghoulish if we can come up with anything. We will have to do a proper apartment tour with all of the horror stuff prominent sometime after all of the holidays, and we will hopefully have everything more organized (aka, stop using boxes as coffee carts) by then.

We would love to see some of your spooky decor as well! Feel free to Tweet, or tag us on all of our social media at @FoxyCatCoven and you can even share your photos in our Facebook group: Coven Creeps, located right on our Facebook page. Until next time, keep it creepy, kids!
